Dr. Herman Edward Palmer

Dr. Herman Edward Palmer, age 59, died Friday, September 10, 2010 in Jackson, MS. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson with Rev. Jerry Talley officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood South. Visitation will be Monday, September 13, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dr. Palmer was born on October 21, 1950 in Hattiesburg, MS. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of Oak Forest Baptist Church. Dr. Palmer attended Mississippi State University and Mississippi College before graduating from Auburn University with a doctor of veterinary medicine degree. He owned and operated Davis Road Veterinary Hospital in Byram. He was a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Jackson Area Veterinary Medical Association.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Palmer.

Survivors include his father, Orville Palmer, of Jackson, MS. A sister, Rebecca Harris, and her husband Daniel of Florence, MS. Three nephews, Aidan Duncan, Benjamin Duncan and Jordan Harris, and one niece, Laura Duncan.
