He was born on December 2, 1951 to John and Stella Bowron. He attended Hinds and Mississippi State University, and his love of the Bulldogs endured throughout his life. On October 6, 1979, he married the love of his life, Angelia Bynum Bowron, and together they raised two sons, Chris and Barry. A native of south Jackson, he resided in Byram for the last few years of his life, although at any given moment he would have preferred to be in a Bass Pro Shop. He was an avid player of billiards and board games, and he had a passion for classic rock music. He was committed to bringing light and laughter in every situation, and he had a profound appreciation for the art of a good joke. He served proudly as a deacon of Griffith Memorial Baptist Church, and nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with family, especially his granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his father, John, his mother, Stella, and his brother, Allen. He is survived by his wife Angelia, his sons, Chris and Barry, and his granddaughters, Adi and Mae.
