Mrs. Jane Davidson McNair

Jane Davidson McNair passed away May 10, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 11am to 1 pm Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

She was the daughter of Walter Grady Davidson and Myrl Hazel Gilmore in Leake County, MS. Mrs. McNair was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clayton “Bill” McNair; grandson, Jason Bradley McNair; brother, Belton Davidson; sister, Bobbie W. Riordan. She is survived by sister, Peggy Thaggard; grandchildren, Brooke Roberts, Lindsey McNair, Andrew “Clay” Allen and five great grandchildren.

She cherished her children, Gloria Allen (Bobby) and Tony McNair (Cheryl). She was a graduate of Draughn’s Business College. She worked for The State of MS Highway Department and State Forestry Commission for 30 years.

Mrs. McNair was active in the exchangets, bowling, gardening, church activities and serving as Secretary of the church. She attended High Hill Baptist Church. She moved with her husband back to her roots. They fished, trot lined and enjoyed the country life.
