Addie Jane Keith Pressgrove, age 80, of Brandon, Mississippi passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025. Jane was born in Magee, Mississippi on November 28, 1945, to Mr. Joe Keith and Mrs. Nona Hodges Keith.
Jane graduated from Raymond High School in 1963. Shortly after graduation she began her 35-year career with South Central Bell (Bellsouth).
She met her husband Arnold in January 1966. They got married just two months later. They could always be found faithfully serving side by side at their church until his death in 2023. She served as church secretary for a brief time allowing her to be a part time stay at home wife and mama. Jane served as a children’s primary Sunday school teacher and later as the church’s Sunday School record keeper. Jane also never minded rocking babies in the nursery. In recent years, she was at the greeter table loving on members and welcoming new friends. She loved her church immensely. As her health deteriorated, the one thing she desired was to be able to go to church.
Upon her retirement from Bellsouth, Jane was able to more enjoy her hobbies of photography and traveling with her favorite side kick, Arnold. Her retirement also allowed her more time to serve her church and help friends and family. She was faithful to visit or contact those who were sick and always ready to sit with anyone in the hospital or in waiting rooms with family. There may also have been a coconut cake involved in her ministering to those in need. Additionally, Jane ran her own medical transit service taking friends or family to doctor appointments. She would also help young mamas by watching their new babies while they went to appointments. In one word, she was always available with a true servant’s heart-nothing too big or small. She and Arnold truly embodied being the hands and feet of Jesus.
To know Jane was to love her. She was the kindest sweetest Christ following lady. She loved fiercely truly displaying the character of Christ. Her memory will live on in our memories. While we miss her terribly, we can take comfort in knowing she has received her Heavenly reward and is face to face in the Presence of the One she loved and served for so long. We are confident she heard Him say, “Well done thy good and faithful servant”.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Janna Pinter (Jeff), her grandsons, Collin Pinter (Brittany) and Brady Pinter; and one great grandson, Baker Glen Pinter.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven ½ years, Arnold Pressgrove, their precious son, Keith Arnold Pressgrove, her parents Joe and Nona Keith, her brothers Lee Henderson, Billy Bob Henderson, Jimmy Keith, and Murry Keith.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lackey Convalescent Home and her Accent Care Hospice team for the phenomenal care, support and love they provided.
A visitation for Jane will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Christway Church, 1501 Old Fannin Rd, Flowood, Mississippi 39232, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00pm. She will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, Mississippi.
