Janis Elaine Petru

Janis was born and raised in Santa Rosa, TX where she was the church and high school pianist. She attended Mary Hardin Baylor University at Belton, TX and Louisiana State University at Lafayette, LA. She was a legal assistant and retired in 2010.

Janis is survived by her husband, Jim Petru of Brandon, MS; daughter, Danielle Petru Fulton, her husband Chad, of Ridgeland, MS; stepson Mark Petru, his wife Jennifer of Pearland, TX; stepson Ryan Petru, his wife Iris of Austin TX; and grandchildren Landon and Julia Fulton of Ridgeland, MS; Braden, Dylan and Grant Petru of Pearland, TX; and Conner and Nadia Petru of Austin, TX. Janis was preceded in death by her parents, James Robert Bevers, Sr. & Willie Huron Castleberry Bevers of Jackson, MS, and her brother James (Jim) Robert Bevers, Jr. of Jackson, MS, all formerly of Santa Rosa, TX.

Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
