Jeanette Haddad Bethany, 81, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Funeral services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Friday, July 26 at 3:00 PM with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Ms. Bethany was born on January 30, 1938 in Jackson. She graduated from Central High School in 1956. She was a State Regional Olympian swimmer and she won numerous certificates for breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle swimming. She was the state Yo-Yo champion from 1951-1953 and a Women's Bowling champion. She retired in 2003 as an accounting assistant for the University of Mississippi Medical Center after 35 years of dedicated service. She was very devoted to her family and friends. She was grounded in her faith and will be remembered as a loving, honest and kind friend. We will truly miss her!
She is preceded in death by her parents, George Charles Haddad, Sr. and Ida Ann Casey Haddad; brother, George Charles Haddad, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Arlene Haddad.
Ms. Bethany is survived by her children, Cynthia Lynn Bethany, Deborah Kay Christy (Mike), Robert Curtis Bethany, Jr. (Annette), and Rodger Alan Bethany (Alisha); grandchildren, Bethany, Bridget, Della, Emma, Ashley, Robert III, Dylan, Colton, David, Justin, Jessica, Brandi; great-grandchildren, Caden, Emily, Zoey, Chloe, Annabelle, Bereet, Jayleigh, Conor, Ethan, Renesamay, Glen Jr., Levi; and brother, Irving Rothe Haddad.
