Jeffery Alan Barnes

Jeffery Alan Barnes, 57, passed away in his sleep at his home on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Visitation will be held at Northside Baptist Church in Clinton, MS, on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 9:30-11:00, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am.

Jeff was beloved by his family. He faced many medical hardships in his life but somehow always looked forward to what the day had to offer. Jeff did not let his disabilities get in the way of being a great and loving family man. He would do anything for anyone and was always there with an ear to listen. He was gracious and generous with his love, time, and attention, he was an honest and hardworking man. Jeff loved to fish and camp and thoroughly enjoyed anything outdoors. He loved animals of all kinds, from his cherished parrot to chickens, rabbits, and dogs. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him; however, his loved ones are comforted in knowing he is no longer in pain.

Jeff is survived by his father, Larry Barnes; mother, Geraldine Edwards; life partner, Kathy Deaton; daughters, Amanda Hughes Northcutt (Christopher), Whittney Northcutt (Nicholas); step-children, Robert Allen (Megan), Michael Allen, William Allen, and Jimbo Westbrook; sisters, Patsy Ruch, Charlene Matlock, and Emily Barnes; brothers, Charles Edwards (Cynthia) and Jeremy Barnes (Dawn); grandchildren, Dylan and Carala Hughes and Lane and Lexie Northcutt; 8 step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
