Jo Ann L. Edwards, 87, passed away on November 18, 2018 at Brookdale Nursing Home in Clinton. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Lakewood Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Edwards was born on October 29, 1931 in Lumberton, MS. She graduated from Lumberton High School then attended Hinds Jr. College Nursing Program. She worked at Hinds General Hospital as a registered nurse for many years. After she retired she volunteered at Hospice Ministries. Mrs. Edwards was a very gifted painter and a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Edwards and her parents, William Alexander and Eva Shifalo Ladner.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her children, Deborah Whatley (Mike), Brad Edwards (Lisa), and Carole Earls; sisters, Ann Sanders and Billie Cochran; grandchildren, Corby Whatley, Amy Hevener (Richie), Daniel Edwards, David Edwards, Emily Earls, Ewin Earls.
