Mr. Louis Rubio

Louis Rubio, born on October 31, 1935, passed away on December 27, 2018, at the age of 83 at his home with Hope and Patrick by his side. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Hope Daves Rubio; son, Patrick L. Rubio, of Clinton; daughter, Teresa L. Rubio of Birmingham, Al; sister, Elizabeth Rubio; brothers, Al (Nancy) Rubio; Ralph (Doris) Rubio; Joe (Maxine) Rubio; and George Rubio, all of Tuscaloosa, AL.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Ceasar and Piedad Rubio; sister, Carmelita Kitchens and brother, Tony Rubio.

He retired from the U.S. Navy and the Veterans Administration as a benefits counselor.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, from 2:00 until 4:00 PM, and Monday, December 31, at 10:00 AM. The funeral service is Monday, December 31, at 11:00 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home. Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are his Sunday School Class at Parkway Baptist Church, Clinton MS.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward the purchase of lights for the Worship Center at Parkway Baptist Church.
