Lyle Otis Tabolt Jr.

Lyle O. Tabolt, age 92, of Ridgeland, MS went home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2026. Lyle was born October 7, 1933, in Utica, New York. He served his country as a United States Marine for three years. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving near Kunsan.

He dedicated many years to General Electric in Huntsville, AL as an engineer. During his time at GE, he contributed to the Saturn V development and Apollo missions. He later retired from the United States Postal Service at age 72.

Lyle was a member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton for many years attending with his wife, Betty. He was a steady volunteer at Morrison Heights Food Pantry. We are all better for having known him. He was a mentor, advisor, and humorist. Lyle walked humbly through life and gave unselfishlyto his broad family. We will miss his steady guidanceand wisdom.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Kearney Tabolt. Lyle is survived by numerous children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery at 10 a.m. The United States Marine Corps will provide military honors.
