Mary was born on September 24, 1938 to Burt and Gladys Deere in Lepanto, AR. When she moved to Mississippi, she worked as the sales manager for several oil companies. She was a member of Capital City Baptist Church in Byram. Mary enjoyed showing her artistic talents by making colorful pictures for her grandchildren. She loved working in her yard keeping it beautiful and cooking meals for her family.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Ike and Edward Deere.
Mary was the loving mother to her daughter, Linda Hardigree (Scott) and son, Donnie Joe Lippman, as well as her beloved cat, Sarabeth. She was the loyal sister to brother, Everett Deere (Jeanette) and sister, Jo Ann Deere. Mary was the devoted grandmother to her granddaughter, Rachael Davis (Alan), and grandson, Jeremy Nipper (Kelly). Mary was the proud great grandmother of Marlee, Ensley, Kaylee, and Jaxen. She will be remembered as the most wonderful and loving soul to her family, and several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park-South, 430 McClure Rd, Jackson, MS 39212.
