Mary Barbara Brewer

Mary Barbara Lee Brewer, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 18, 2026. She was born on September 28, 1949, in Magee, Mississippi, and spent the final years of her life in Pearl, Mississippi, where she lived a quiet, simple, peaceful life.

Barbara was known for her funny, spunky spirit and for being the life of the party. She loved to dance, laugh, and enjoy life to the fullest. Whether she was spending time with family, reading a good book, going to the casino, planning her next cruise or vacation, or watching her favorite show, I Love Lucy, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Barbara dedicated many years of her life to working as a waitress in numerous restaurants, where her vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her final place of employment was Humidor in Brandon, Mississippi, where she continued to do what she did best—connect with people, make others smile, and make everyone feel welcomed.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Tonia Duplichain (Blake); her grandchildren, Tristan Duplichain and Taylan Duplichain; and her great-grandchildren, Finley, Jude, and Ivory, who brought so much happiness to her life.

Barbara is also survived by her siblings, Janice Bedwell (Randy), Raymon Bradshaw (Lisa), Stevie Bradshaw, sister in law Karen Bradshaw, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Verna Ree Bradshaw; her sister, Carolyn McKinley; and her brother, Mickey Bradshaw.

Some of Barbara’s most cherished memories were the vacations she shared with her sisters—times filled with laughter, adventure, jokes, and love. Those memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Barbara will be remembered for her vibrant soul, her love for life, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held Sunday March 29, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm with a Service Monday March 30, 2026 at 3:00 pm. Mary Barbara Brewer will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd., Jackson.
