Mary Lily (Jones) Dean

Mary Lily (Jones) Dean, a long-time resident of Jackson, died November 29, 2018. Ms. Dean was born on December 31, 1939, the daughter of the late Willard D., Sr. and Shellie Moore Jones, in Sharkey County, Mississippi.

Ms. Dean is survived by her son, Jimmy Dean; two grandsons, Christopher and Lamar Dean; two sisters, Evelyn Tucker (husband, Gilbert) and Ruby Langford (husband, Bill); one brother, Willard Demar Jones, Jr. (wife, Barbara); and two nephews, Bobby and Glenn Tucker.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harrell B. Dean; by her parents; by sister, Alice Jones Allen, and by nephew, L.G. “Buster” Tucker, Jr.

Ms. Dean was a long-time member of Daniel Memorial Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Lakewood South Cemetery, 430 McCluer Road, Jackson.
