Ok Son "Kim" Chappell

Ok Son "Kim" Chappell passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 following a recent illness. She was born and raised in Korea but made her home in Mississippi many years ago. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to anyone she met. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for others, winning Bingo and spending time with family. She loved the Lord and her church.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Derwood Chappell; her dear parents, Taek Yon and Pil Nan An Kim; her precious son, Edwin Chappell; her sweet sister, Suzy Taylor; and her loving brother, Hwa Duk Kim.

She is survived by her daughters, Amilia Chappell, Rose Mary Buehler (husband, Paul), and Ann Clifton (husband, Ricky); her grandchildren, Andrew and Maggie Clifton; bonus grandchildren, Sasha Barker and Rachel Lacey (husband, Joshua); great-grandchildren, Addyson and Raelin Lacey; sisters, Hye Kyong Smith and Ha Jwa Kim; brother, Gil Kim (wife, Gina) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Lakewood Funeral Home from 12:00 to 2:00 PM with funeral services to follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Korean Presbyterian Church of Jackson at 1659 Springridge Rd, Raymond, MS 39154.
