

Perry Royce Boyanton was born September 10, 1942 in Stonewall, Mississippi and passed away July 12, 2025 at the age of 82. He was the son of the late William Oris Boyanton and Mary Agnes Phillips Boyanton. Perry was preceded in death by his siblings Billy James Boyanton, Oris Alvin Boyanton and Sherry Ann Matthews.
Perry was a loving husband and father and is survived by his adoring wife, Tijuana Stanley Boyanton, his son Reverend Hal Hall and his wife Renee Hall. Perry has two granddaughters, Haleigh Hall and Lillie Beth Hall. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Holman, brother Henry L. Boyanton, sister-in- law Mable, nieces and nephews (Steve, Greg, Tonya, Tamara and Richie) and a host of loving great nieces and nephews.
Perry graduated from Central High School, Jackson, Mississippi in 1962. He attended and graduated from Jackson State and was a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard. Perry opened the first gymnastic school in the state of Mississippi proudly known as Metro School of Gymnastics, located in Flowood, Mississippi. Because of his many contributions to the gymnastics field, Perry is eligible to be inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame. Along with his gymnastics coaching career, Perry taught for the Mississippi School of the Blind and various public schools throughout his career. Perry enjoyed staying active and also worked as an EKG tech at St. Dominic’s Hospital for many years. His work ethic and reliability were appreciated by all who met him. Perry positively impacted many as a gymnastics coach, swim instructor and teacher.
Gravesite services will be officiated by his son, Reverend Hal Hall at Lakewood Memorial Park.
