

Visitation is Monday from 5-7pm with a wake from 7-8pm on April 2, 2012at Baldwin Lee Jackson on Robinson Rd. Funeral services are 2pm Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church in Terry. Burial will follow at the Terry Cemetery.
Robin was born April 26, 1925 in Caledonia MS where he spent his young years working picking cotton. It was here he met the young girl who would become his bride for 65 years. Robin joined the Navy during World War II and saw action in the South Pacific aboard the USS Mission Bay. Robin married Paige Nixon January 24, 1947 and enjoyed 65 years of marriage together.
When he returned from the service he found the Lord and became a new man in Christ.He lived and worked for the Lord the balance of his life. His testimony was "joy unspeakable and full of glory".
Robin worked in home improvement in the Copiah, Hinds and Rankin areas and love making friends where ever he went. He was a faithful member of Christ's Sanctified Holy Church in Terry MS and became sanctified in 1951. Robin loved his church, family, and chocolate with an uncanny ability to find money in his journeys.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Mark and Allie Walden, sisters Mary Francis Phillips and Pearlie Kimbrell, infant sister Leolla, brothers Richard Walden, and Edward Walden.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Paige Walden, daughter Janell Veach and Son in Law Denny Veach, Granddaughter Christie Veach, brother John Walden, Sisters in Law Ruth Lee, Jean Darman, and Janie Walden, numerous nieces and nephews (Clyde Phillips)and family friends Donna, Ronnie and Carol Veach.
The family wishes to express there appreciation to the staff of the Neurology floor and Hospice Staff at the GV Sonny Montgomery Veterans Hospital for the love and care shown during Robin's stay.
