Ruby Stanley

Ruby Stanley, age 92, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 in Florence, MS. A visitation for Ruby will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home.

Ruby was born August 19, 1930 in Laurel, MS. Ruby was known for her love of Ferrero Rochers and turtle candy and in her later years, she enjoyed traveling to Vicksburg often for good food and fun. Above all, Ruby was a God fearing, loving mother to her four sons and never left a moment dull. She was always there when you needed her.

She preceded in her passing by her first husband, Bo Parker; her second husband, Malcolm Donald Stanley; her son, Phillip Stanley; her parents, B.F. and Carrie Boutwell; her brothers, Cliff Boutwell and Cleman Boutwell; her sisters, Hazel Langley and Maxine “Mac” McCurty; and her grandson, Joey Stanley.

Ruby is survived by her sons- Morris Parker (Alice), John Stanley, and Keith Stanley; her brother, Bill Boutwell; her sisters, Anne Hutto and Betty “Tommie” Shoemake; her grandchildren- Clint Parker, Crystal Parker, Mistie Byrd, and Chase Stanley; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
