Sandra Wootton Leach

Sandra Wootton Leach, 78, of Terry, MS, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. Born June 3, 1947, in Cambridge, Ohio to Edward and Viola Wootton. Sandra was the devoted wife of Mike Leach Sr. for 45 years, and the cherished mother of Mike Leach JR. and Kimberly Leach Vaughan.

Sandra, beloved wife, mother, and “Mamaw,” was a woman of warmth, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. She and her husband shared an extraordinary 45-year marriage, a true partnership. Together, they created a beautiful life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

As a mother, Sandra was always there, whether it was singing "You Are My Sunshine" on Saturday mornings or supporting her children at every baseball game. She worked alongside her family in the family business for 28 years, offering guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support.

But above all, Sandra treasured her role as “Mamaw.” Her love and patience for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew no bounds. Whether camping, going to Disney World, or simply spending time together, she made each moment special. Sandra’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Vaughan (Hugh); grandchildren, Brittany Cook (Dillon), Jessica Myers (Devin), Tommy Vaughan (Meredith), Michael Leach III and Lauren Leach; great grandchildren, Courtney Mitchell, Carson Mitchell, Skylar Mitchell, Sadie Leach and Ella Leach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Leach Sr. and son, Mike Leach Jr.

Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on March 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.

She will be dearly missed, but her memory will forever be cherished.
