Warren Martin Magee Sr.

Mr. Warren Martin Magee, Sr., 83, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Warren Magee, Sr. was born November 19, 1930 in McComb, MS to the late John Warren Magee and Lucy Lois Martin Magee. After graduation from high school, he joined the US Army and served for two years as a Training Drill Sergeant. He was an Officer with the Jackson Police Department for twenty one years. After leaving JPD, he worked with McCarty-Holman/Jitney Jungle of America as a Safety & Security Officer. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson, MS.

Mr. Magee is survived by his wife of 64 years, Reba Saxon Magee; his son, Warren “Marty” Magee and wife, Nancy; his daughter, Teresa Magee Henderson and husband, Mickey; his five grandchildren, Melissa Magee Reed (Michael), Lauren Magee Pepper (Kent), Warren Keith Magee (Cheyenne), Jonathan Henderson (Anna) and David Henderson (Ashley) and his four great-grandchildren, Nathan and Caleb Reed, Makenzie Pepper and Kamdyn Magee.
