Anna graduated from Calhoun High School in Calhoun, LA and earned her degree in music and elementary education from Baylor University. She taught music and elementary education in Dallas, TX, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa, OK. After moving to Jackson, she worked at Union University and George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home. She was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Griffis; parents, Colbert and Thelma Camp; and her sister, Joyce Camp Barefoot.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Dr. Hyran Barefoot; three neices, Judy Thomas (Steve), June Dark (Clayton), and Jane Hunter (Nathan); six grandnieces and nephews and sixteen great grandnieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Following the visitation, she will be taken into the care of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, for services and burial in Liberty Church Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.
The family requests that due to Anna's interment being out of state, that memorials, in lieu of flowers, be directed to Liberty Church Cemetery, 115 Liberty Church Rd., Calhoun, LA 71225
