I was sad to hear about Mr. Art's passing. I had heard his name for a very long time. I met him when I started working in Insurance and finally was able to put a face with the name and the legend. After reading the news of his passing I also realized I went to school with his children. Not that they would know me. To Chris, Jeff, Vince & Vick so sorry for your loss. To Mrs. Mary- My prayers are with you and all of your family.

Art will truly be missed!! He always made everyone laugh when he would walk into my office. He was such a joy to be around and had a heart of gold! I can hear his voice and see him sitting in my office right now as I type this. It was such a pleasure knowing Art. I pray for healing and strength in the days and years to come not only for sweet Mrs. Mary but for the family as well. There is absolutely no doubt that he touched many lives.

I will miss Art so much.  He was like a father to me and a great friend.  He was an awesome person and his family just as awesome.  I pray for healing for Miss Mary and all the family.  He will be missed greatly missed. He has touched so many lives with his friendship and love for life and people.

Buehler Family,

Art and I worked together off-and-on from 1965-68.  I studied architecture at Auburn University during those years and filled the summer months in Jackson (my hometown) at the office of H.G Barnes Architect and Associate.  Art Buehler and Grady Barnes comprised the best architectural team in West Tennessee outside of Memphis.  One's individual talent complimented the other.  At first I knew practically nothing but after those four summers under Art's coaching, I was more than ready to go into the work force and had more job opportunities than most of the others in my class.  After my graduation Art and I went different directions and I never worked again in Jackson.  I consider myself blessed to have known Art, to have been taught by him, and to have received the professional preparation that he and Grady gave me.  I consider myself negligent that I never thanked Art.  I hope to see him again someday and take care of my inadvertent oversight.

There is a message on a T shirt that reads, "The eARTh without ART is just eh".  Although the original intent of the message is to accent something totally different, I can't help but think that the message 100% applies to Art Buehler. I know for myself that I will cherish all the memories of having known him for over 40 years, but going forward, life will be a bit more bland without having him around. Rest in Peace, Art. My thoughts and prayers are with Mary and all the family at this time.

Art had a laugh that started at his eyes and worked it way down..He had a kind soul with a big heart and many friends...he will be missed ..sending love and strength to his family.....
If you close your eyes and think back you can hear his laugh and see his smile,open your eyes and you find yourself smiling...
