Arthur Blake McKown

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 2 p.m., in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons, with Rev. Paul Phillips officiating the service. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery near Mercer.

Blake was born on September 19th, 1950 to the late Arthur D. and Bessie Barros McKown, in Ft. Smith, Ar. He was Methodist in faith, and Co-Owned Mid South Computer Services in Jackson.

Mr. McKown was a devoted husband and caring father who will be missed greatly by his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Becky Curlin McKown; 1 daughter, Blair McKown Woodward (Eric) of Nashville; 1 sister, Dana Boles (Alan) of Rockwell, TX; 2 brothers, Stephen McKown (Maureen) of Temecula, CA, Nick McKown (Annis) of Alma, AR; 1 niece, Lauren McKown and 4 nephews, Christopher McKown, Scott Tanner, Chris Tanner and Andrew Boles.

A visitation for Mr. McKown will be held at the North Chapel on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, The American Kidney Fund (www.kidneyfund.org) or to Woodland Cemetery in care of Ilene Barcroft, 955 Hubert Barcroft Rd., Brownsville, TN 38012.
