Funeral services for Betty Rogers Wise, age 82 of Jackson, the widow of the late Rev. J.G. Wise, will be held at 1 pm on Monday, January 16, 2012 at West Jackson Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wise passed from this life on January 13, 2012, in Jackson, TN. She was born on May 3, 1929 in Jackson to the late Coke and May McCord Rogers. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She spent 53 years of her life to the devotion of her husband’s ministry.
She is survived by two daughters, Carla Jacobs (Jerry) and Carol Williams, a sister, Wilma Daniel, a brother, Dr. Ron Rogers (Doris) all of Jackson, a granddaughter, Allison Hetzel (Scott) of Columbus, GA, three step grandchildren, Jennifer and Angela Jacobs and Rebecca Miller (Troy) all of Jackson, three great grandsons, C.J. and Will Hetzel and Jake Miller and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held from 4 pm until 6 pm on Sunday at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel and also one hour before the service on Monday at the church.
