Rev. David A. Green, 69 of Jackson passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ray Wilkins, Rev. Frank Kemper, and Rev. Mike Waddey officiating the service.
Rev. Green was born in Madison County on July 30, 1946 to the late Hollis, and Delois Agee Green. He served 33 years as a Pastor before retiring in 2013. Of those, Rev. Green served 13 years at First Baptist Church in Maury City, 10 years at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in McNairy County, and 5 years at Cairo Baptist Church.
Other than his parents he was also preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Green Freeman.
He is survived by his loving wife Paula Nesbitt Green, two daughters; Tina Armour, and Darla Goss (Billy) of Jackson, a sister; Susan Maynard (Ray) of Bemis, a brother; Bobby and (Pam) Green of Middleton, and six grandchildren; Lindsay and Kelsey Freeman, Nick and Zack Armour, and Raven and Will Goss.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
