Dean Thompson Singleton

She was born February 10, 1930 in Sardis, TN to the late B.B. and Clyde Thompson.

Dean was married the fifth of March, 1949 to the love of her life Jim Singleton, who preceded her in death in 2014.

She worked for the West Tennessee Council of Boy Scouts of America. Dean retired after 25 years as a bookkeeper and Office Manager. She maintained friendships across the country with Scout Executives who passed through this office. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and the Holland/Cullen Sunday School Class.

Dean is survived by her son, Mike Singleton (Sandra) of Jackson; and daughters, Pam Singleton McCorkle of Jackson and Lori Singleton of Spring Hill, TN. She has three grandchildren, Ellen Singleton of New York, Steve Singleton of Nashville, and J.D. McCorkle of Jackson.

The family will receive friends and visitors on Sunday afternoon, June 19, 2016 from 3-6 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel. The family will receive friends again on Monday morning beginning at 9 a.m.

A graveside service will be held on Monday morning, June 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Ridgecrest Cemetery with Bro. Dan Bruce officiating. Interment will follow.
