Dennis was born on July 25, 1955 and was a graduate of South Side High School. He was employed by Mid-South Manufacturing for forty years and was a member of the South Jackson Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Everett and Mary Warren McClanahan; and brother, Richard Dale McClanahan.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Mark McClanahan (Wife, Maranda) and John McClanahan (Wife, Jessica); four grandchildren, Makayla and Maddox, Mason and Mya; sister, Margie Montgomery, and brother Norris McClanahan (Wife, Marjorie); several nieces and nephews; he also leaves a very special friend, Janice Crouse and his best friend, Jim Braisure.
Funeral services for Dennis will be conducted on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel with burial to follow in Pleasant Springs Cemetery in the Deanburg Community of Chester County. Bro. Ron Davis will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5-9 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel.
