Elizabeth Beesley Hubbard was born September 17, 1912 in Nashville, TN and was a 1935 graduate of Vanderbilt University with Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She was married to Dr. Baker Hubbard, Sr. in Wightman's Chapel at the Scarritt Bennett Center in 1939 and moved to Jackson, TN after Dr. Hubbard's service in WWII. In her 20s, she began playing golf and bridge and enjoyed both for the next 80+ years. Elizabeth was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her four children - George, Bill, Al, and Betha - 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and since the death of her husband, her closest friend and caretaker, Georgia Bond. She lived her life teaching her children to be thoughtful, kind, and to always do the right thing. Elizabeth passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016, and there was a burial this morning at Ridgecrest Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on June 11th at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church of Jackson, TN. The family asks that memorials be sent to First United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice .
