She was born September 24, 1925 in Dyer County, TN and was raised in Bemis, TN where she graduated from J.B. Young High School in 1943. She attended Union University, majoring in Interior Design. She retired from Eastman Kodak in Kingsport, TN.
Evelyn Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Parker and two brothers, V.A. Cooper and Jerry H. Cooper.
She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne P. Forsbergh (Eric) of Reston, VA and Elizabeth P. Thomas (Jet) of Germantown, TN; one son, Joseph H. Parker, Jr. (Renee) of Pinson, TN; one brother, Gaylon D. Cooper (Betty Jane) of Beech Bluff, TN; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd at 9:30 a.m., at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel, 2812 North Highland in Jackson. Graveside service immediately following at Ridgecrest Cemetery, also in Jackson.
