She was the second of three children born to Maddie Sue Grace Cunningham McKenzie and Robert Granville McKenzie on June 11, 1926. She spent her childhood in Bemis, TN, graduating Valedictorian from J.B. Young High School in 1944. She was married to Ivy Sanders for 64 years.
To this union were born two daughters, Cheryl Lovett (Phillip) and Susan Wyatt (David); three granddaughters, Amelia Morrison (Bryant), Danielle Webb (Sean), and Emma Grace Wyatt; five great grandchildren, David Webb, Matthew Morrison, Bear Webb, Alex Morrison, and Penelope Webb.
Private graveside services will be held at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
