Helen Gayle Reasons

Helen Gayle Reasons, age 76 of Humboldt, TN, died Thursday, October 7th, 2010.

Funeral services for Mrs. Reasons will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 10th at First Baptist Church in Humboldt, TN. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 4 - 8 p.m., at the George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel in Jackson.

Mrs Reasons graduated from Peabody High School in Trenton, TN and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and was a Delta Delta Delta Sorority Alumnus. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Humboldt, a school teacher and homemaker.

Mrs. Reasons was married to the late Billy Jeff Reasons for 50 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Wohrman and her husband Robert of Germantown, TN, and Sandra Wallace and her husband Bob of Charlotte, NC; a son, Jeff Reasons of Jackson, TN; a sister, Joyce Wingo Orr and her husband David of Dyer, TN; and two grandchildren, Tyler Wohrman and his wife Anna of Memphis, TN and Courtney Wohrman of New York City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Rudd Wingo of Trezvant, TN and her mother, Mary Helen Harris Wingo.

Her life was filled with adventure and activities: traveling the world, gardening, bridge club, book club, and her church. She loved animals, most of all, her beloved dog Oso.
