James H. Cupples

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday April 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Ebenezer Cemetery, with Dr. Bill Sims, and Bro. John Norville officiating.

He was born in Montezuma, TN, son of the late Bruce and Lillie Cupples.

James was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Cupples of Henderson, TN, and sister, Helen Cooper of Montezuma, TN.

He leaves his wife, Peggy Scoggins Cupples, one sister, Vena Plunk of East Peoria, IL, and one brother, Bill Cupples (Joann) of Metamora, IL.

James worked as a barber at the YMCA in Bemis and later at Hicksville Barber Shop in Jackson. He retired from the ICG Railroad and was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army.

The family would like to thank caregiver Faye Neely and the wonderful hospice team that came to their home, Carol, Melanie, Stephanie, and Kevin.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 4 until 7 p.m. from the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of West TN, or First Baptist Church of Bemis.
