Janet was born on January 27, 1942 in Jackson to the late Charles Benthal and Helen Dale Douglas Tucker. Janet retired from the State of Tennessee in 2002 where she worked in the adult and juvenile corrections. She earned the Certified Professional Secretary Certification. She enjoyed art, sewing, gardening, and music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Marbury; and her brother, Benny Tucker.
She is survived by her sons, Tony Marbury (Lisa) and Ricky Marbury (Sherry); grandchildren, Brittany McGee (Jacob), Anthony Marbury, and Keith Marbury; two great grandchildren, Brantley and Braxton McGee; sister, in law, Barbara Tucker; and a special cousin, Judy Scroggins.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Clover Creek Cemetery in Medon.
