I have know both Jeffrey and Melissa since they have been at Englewood Baptist Church. I watched Jeffrey take on his diagnosis without any fear but with trust that his Savior would heal him. I love the spirit Jeffrey attacked Glioblastoma.  Jeffrey has now been healed and he is praising the Lord.   I know Melissa and family will miss Jeffrey terribly but clearly he is with Jesus and healed from the nasty disease!

I met Jeff & Melissa through Englewood through a class. We had lots of fellowship & fun through hay rides & bonfires. His smile & humbleness were contagious. We will miss you greatly but will see you again one day. No more pain for you here on earth. You won’t be forgotten. May God bless your family for the days ahead.

I have often wondered if there are angels among us! Scripture tells us ,  “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it” (Hebrews 13:2).  I believe in my heart that Jeff was an angel to so many, including me and always will be! Jeff was also a teacher to me; he taught me to serve and encourage others; he taught me to follow and seek the Holy Spirit; he taught me how to be a Godly husband; and he taught me to love others well! Jeff was a friend to me; encouraging me when I was teaching; giving me advice when I was struggling; and always there to help me when I needed a hand. Jeff was a brother to me; loving me when I was unlovable; listening to me when I was hurting; and speaking truth to me no matter how much it hurt! That’s who Jeffery was and is!
I love my Jeffrey.....my teacher....my friend......my brother......my angel!


What I will remember most about Jeffery is his trust and faith in our Lord. His faithfulness and attitude towards turning all things over to the Lord and him giving all the glory to God will always be with John Robert and I, throughout our life.

I have known you both for decades now. I was and will forever be grateful for the two of you and the Sunday school class that came to mow my yard while my family was grieving and unable to focus on things like that. Mind you, I have a 4 acre yard! I will never forget the morning that Jeff almost knocked you out when he was trying to get a mower going and unbeknownst to him you were standing right behind him. He felt so terrible. I guess you'd call those battle scars in the Lord's service. You loved me through the blackest days of my life. I thank you. I'm so glad that Jesus made a way so we can see Jeff again someday.

Melissa, I will never forget all of the stories you used to share about you and your Jeffrey... how sweet he was to you! Your marriage was so precious! And he was such a Godly man. His faith has been such an inspiration to me. I can't tell you how many Sundays I would have had a bad week but then to see him struggle to his feet and raise his hands in front of that sanctuary was the greatest blessing to my heart! I will never forget the impact this journey has been made on heart as I have watched you two follow the Lord with such a mighty faith and obedience.  I will always love you, my homey!!

What a blessing you have been, Jeff. A guide to so many of us who daily struggle . And a diviner when we lose our way. You have been such a blessing to so many. I know you are now an angel. 

Melissa, I am truly blessed to have been able to work alongside Jeff for the time I did. You, Jeff, Jimmy and Doris made work feel like family and I am thankful for you.   Jeff always had a smile on his face and never let anything get him down.  Even in times of trouble his and your faith in God was so evident.  He was such a good friend. And He loved you so very much!!! When you would come in to see him or when you would call him on the phone, time stood still. Nothing else was important. You brought so much happiness to him and everyone could see that. And his love  for your children was so strong as well. I wish I could remember more but some things I remember are  how happy he was when he got to spend time with Walter, how proud he was when Wendy got married,  and when Chloe took his name. He loved when Preston gave him hugs and followed him around wanting to spend time with him.  Im not good with words but I hope this means something good to you. I loved seeing his smiling face on Sunday morning in the children’s ministry area. He was so willing to help when I was struggling my first week teaching with technology . He always had a pleasant & open personality to help and care for others. He will be missed.

I will be praying for you Melissa and your family.  All I can serms to think of right now is you flying around the corner pushing Jeff in his wheelchair.  You took such good care of him and did everything you could for him.  Two songs that helped me when my parents went home. "I will rise when He calls my name, no more sorrow no more pain" and I'm going home".

I met Jeff at church with a bright smile teaching my daughter  in Sunday school! He then came
to my office regularly for a bit with his job! Every time I saw Jeff, he had a bright smile, was so kind, and demonstrated the Love of Jesus! Amazing Christian man! I am blessed to have known him! We have all seen Jesus through Jeff! 

What a blessing to look from the choir loft to the front row almost every Sunday in the 11 am worship service and see Jeff and Melissa there worshipping! With smiles and true worship only a loving relationship with Jesus can bring! What a testimony all during this battle and race he ran! Now Jeff is running and shouting and praising on the streets of gold❤️

I met Jeff working in the children’s ministry on Wednesday nights. Like all the previous memories I found Jeff to be a kind, sweet- spirited man that truly demonstrated the love of God to the children and everyone else. Continuing prayers for the family

I worked with his wife Melissa while working probation. We talked many days about their faith and love for the Lord. She bragged about what a wonderful husband and father she and her children were blessed with. Melissa, I am sorry for your loss and I am praying for peace for you and the kids. I hate that we can’t be there for you to wrap our arms around you and bring food and comfort you. Just know we are praying. Love you. Cris

Hijacking a church bus that was headed to Memphis for a Christian concert.. that was our first meeting. Jeffery and Melissa were in charge of driving us to Winter Jam and I had just happened to hear of the trip through members of Englewood. We were welcomed with open arms and became fast friends. Through the years, we  met again at local races, a vacation to Montgomery Bell and some trail events.  My last  true conversation with Jeffery was at Racing So They Can Ride as I sat with him waiting on Melissa and Preston to stroll in.  We laughed, we shared our stories of runs we had done. Being on injury leave, I was sharing my woes of a long break from running and he said.. “ You’ve heard it a thousand times, you never know what you had until it’s gone”... even then he smiled and said we will do another race and congratulate each other at the finish line.  We will.. he’ll be there with that smile and congratulate me coming in since he beat me to the finish line. But I know this, his reward right now is much better than any medal one can get from a race!!  Well deserved Jeffery!! We will miss you but promise to care for your family until we meet again!!

Melissa, my heart hurts for your pain of losing your spouse, and your children's loss of their father.  We only knew you and Jeff for less than a year, but you were an inspiration to us as we watched you faithfully praise the Lord.  My prayers for you and your family.


I had the privilege of serving as Jeff’s pastor for 5 years—and in that amount of time, he taught me more about worship &  trusting Jesus & what it looks like to live a life of radical/bold faith—than I could have ever taught him. I love this brother & count it pure joy that I will see him again someday. Praying for the Price family & all of my Englewood friends who are grieving this great loss today.

What a wonderful couple! Watching them through this journey has strengthened my faith. I’m so very sorry for your loss!

I never saw Jeffrey without a smile on his face! He and Melissa have been such a wonderful example of what we should all strive to be during this difficult journey. Our hearts are broken, but we know that Jeffrey is dancing on streets of gold today. 

It was an honor and a blessing to know Jeff.   He lived his love for Jesus and showed God's love to those around him.  His crown must hold many jewels.  May God comfort those he's left behind until that blessed day when we see him again. 

We love you all. We loved Jeff , and we know he is with Jesus. He was such a loving person and his love shown through in his smile.  He showed everyone what it was like to be a good husband , father and Melissa's best friend.  He battled this illness with more grace and courage than anyone I have ever seen. When I think of them, my memory goes back to  their wedding at the park which I was privileged to be a part of.  We will continue to pray for your family as you cherish your memories, that God will comfort your hearts in the days, months and years to come. His last words to me was in August at the Inn at the choir kick off... " while you are off counting the money in the vault, remember to count your blessings"!  Knowing you Jeff was one of those blessings!  Rest well my friend!


It is a joy to know the Prices. They radiant Jesus in their lives. Jeff was a fine man that left his wife, children and friends a legacy of how to love our Savior. Until we all meet again. 

What a incredible man of faith and his love for Jesus was contagious. He’s rejoicing with the King now and I can see his smile! Love to all the family and prayers for comfort in the days ahead. Love ❤️ 

Prayers to you Melissa  and family. I met you and Jeffrey outside the church for the first time  as you was putting  him in the car. I told you this was  my first Sunday here at Englewood. You welcomed  me with open  arms.I then was on Facebook  with you and your family.I did not know   Jeffrey long.You two are the most kind people. You and your family are in  my thoughts and prayers.

Mr Jeff was and always will be one of the most beautiful spirits that I've ever known he always offered a word of encouragement or a beautiful smile that made your day just so much better I remember when I first became a parent Mister Jeff would always ask me how was my boy and always encouraged me and told me that he's going to be all right we were so blessed to have gotten to know mr. Jeff and his family he will be  truly missed. 

Jeff was a shining example of a Christian man. He was always ready to help others. He will be missed. Love to his family and friends.

Jeffrey and family were always on the front pew singing and praising thru all of this.  As we watched from the choir loft, we could feel his worship and joy even in the midst of the storm.  He never stopped or gave up.  Praising our Savior now with a healed body.  He fought the good fight and finished strong.  Will miss that smiling face.  Prayers for Melissa and the family. 

Jeffro......I'm gonna miss you so much my Brother. One of the strongest yet most gentle giants in his actions, love, compassion, commitments, servitude and love for his LORD and family I've ever known. If you had a friend in Jeff..it was true and forever.  His faith unwavering.    Jeff and I went to Brasil on a mission trip years ago to build a Chapel. 
 He found out about my way of greeting children we met and a lot of the adults loved it as well.  I greeted them with a Great Big Giant Bear Hug.  This is where i wrap them tight in a bear hug..pick them up the air and swing them around like a rag doll while telling that Jesus loves them. Being the loving people they are, once I greeted them they always expected and asked for the same next time we met....even if it was years later.  Jeffro also got in on this greeting.  Back in the states here there are a select few that I have on my special greeting list... Jeffro was among the top of the list.  I've missed greeting him for a while now.  BUT ....Jeffro my brother-in-Christ..I Love You.   And I owe you many of my GREAT BIG GIANT BEAR HUGS when we meet again.  My prayers go out to his wife and family.  May the loss in our hearts be eased by his gain in Glory. 

Knowing Jeff Price and his family has been my great privilege. Their love for the Lord, their witness of his salvation and goodness, and their trust in HIS plan has been humbling and inspiring to me and so many others.  I know Jeff is enjoying the most wonderful homecoming celebration in Heaven, and we are so happy for him!  Our thoughts and prayers remain with his beautiful and loyal wife, his children, and other family and friends.  You are loved, and you will never be forgotten, Jeff!

His smile and watching him worship every Sunday he was at church was a blessing and something I will never forget. Prayers for the family during this tough time even though he is with Jesus, singing praises to our God, walking the streets of gold.
