Jimmy Joe Tippett, age 72, of Mercer, Tennessee passed away on Monday January 21, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with David Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.
Jimmy was born February 24, 1946 in Haywood County to the late Harvey Lee and Mary Jo Joyner Tippett. He was a loving Husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Tippett truly loved his family and enjoyed life. He was married to his wife Peggy Hutcherson Tippett over 52 years. Throughout his career as a Truck Driver he was able to travel to almost every State. He also had an affinity for children and animals.
Other than his wife Peggy, he is also survived by daughter; Tiffany Cash and her husband Russ of Huntersville, Son; Kevin Lee Tippett of Mercer, Grandchildren; Chase Spurgeon, Dalton Lee Tippett and Calli Cash, Brothers; Danny Tippett, Billy Tippett and Gary Tippett.
A visitation for Jimmy will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.
