Katherline Claire "Casey" McLean

Services for Casey McLean, 48, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Parkburg Baptist Church in Pinson with Bro. Danny Rachel and Dr. Jerry Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Parkburg Cemetery. George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel will be in charge of arrangements.

Casey passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a short illness.

Casey was born in Nashville, Tennessee the daughter of Pam and David Blasingame and the late Sam McLean. Casey was an active member of Parkburg Baptist Church, WOW Discipleship Training, and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She sang in the Parkburg Choir. She won a gold medal in swimming at the Tennessee Special Olympics. Casey will always be remembered for her angelic smile and loving disposition.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Jack and Katherline Jones and John and Claire St. Clair, and her uncle Jimmy Jones.

She is survived by her parents, Pam and David Blasingame of Medon; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many caring and devoted friends.

Active pallbearers to serve will be Phillip Allen, Paul Couch, David Essex, Jason Jones, Jim Ed Martin, and John St. Clair III.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Garner, Norman Martin, Charles Strasser and Johnnie Tims.

Casey left us Friday, July 1st and now she is one of God’s special angels singing in the Heavenly Choir.

The family requests memorials be directed to Parkburg Baptist Church Choir Fund or Operation Christmas Child at Parkburg Baptist Church.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the funeral home and 1-2 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Parkburg Baptist Church, one hour prior to the service.
