Larry Joseph Swick

Larry passed away on March 8, 2015 at his home in Jackson.

Larry was born on September 16, 1937 in Newark, OH, the son of the late Carl Henry and Nora Belle McGinnis Swick.

Larry was a retired General Manager of TennAlum, a division of Kaiser Aluminum. He was a former board member of the Jackson Chamber of Commerce, and a former board member of Finance Committee with Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Larry enjoyed reading, football, golf, and traveling. Larry was an Eagle Scout and a lifelong supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed visiting his birthplace in Newark, OH. He enjoyed driving throughout Licking County reminiscing about his childhood. He called this his “roots” ride.

Mr. Swick was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie C. Swick and his parents, Carl and Nora Swick.

He is survived by his children, Milinda Sturm (Tim) of Heath, OH, Patricia L. Swick of Ormond Beach, FL, Timothy Swick (Denise) of Charleston, SC, Todd Swick (Kelly) of Heath, OH, Mark Swick of Longview, TX and Tony Swick of Dickerson, ND; grandchildren, Nicole Vu of Los Angeles, CA, Kyle Swick of Atlanta, GA, Larissa LaCavera of Charelston, SC, Sarah Martin of Charleston, SC, and Carl Swick of Lancaster, OH; and his brother, C. David Swick (Connie) of Debary, FL; and several great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, March 11, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home.

The family has requested that memorials in Larry’s memory be directed to the Boy Scouts of America in Jackson, TN or The American Cancer Society.
