Mabel Eugenia Moss

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11 a.m., in the North Chapel of George A. Smith & Sons, with Bro. Steven Callicoat officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., at George A. Smith & Sons North Chapel.

Mabel was born in Cedar Hill, MO, the daughter of the late Howard and Laura Ashwell. In 1948, she met and married the love of her life, Bill. They were married for 61 years. In 1965, Mabel and her family moved to Tennessee. In 1976, she and Bill opened up Rainbow Vacuum Center, from which she retired in 1995.

She is survived by two daughters, Gail (Roger) Lawrence and Patty (Mike) McCallum; one son, Rick (Rita) Moss; one sister, June Young; seven grandchildren, Cory, Casey and Sean McCallum, Vivian Blackwell, Vince, Joe and Justin Yodushock, and ten great-grandchildren; as well as many neices and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Moss; one brother, Raymond Ashwell and two sisters, Fern McBride and Opal Busch.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Brenda Wilson, Connie Carson, and Gina Thomas for their kindness and the care Mrs. Moss received.
