Like so many others, Mrs. Shelton taught me typing and shorthand as well and such a wonderful teacher she was!  When I would go to Jackson for a visit, my sisters (Jada, Gloria and Nan) and I would always meet Mrs. Shelton and Miss Worthy for lunch and I'm so thankful and appreciate all those lunches that we had together. What precious memories we all have of Mrs. Shelton.  Kathy, you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Shelton was a beautiful lady inside and out. I was one of the many fortunate ones to have her as a typing and shorthand teacher and to be one of her typing assistants...as well as serve on the yearbook staff. She is one teacher who inspired me to be a teacher. I not only had the privilege of being in her class but when I got a teaching job at Jackson High School, we were on the faculty together. Such beautiful memories. And her wonderful, devoted friend, Ms. Worthy...what a friendship! They were like sisters. I had the opportunity to meet an angel..what a blessing. I will miss her so much. Kathy, my thoughts and prayers are with you in the days and months ahead.

Mrs. Shelton was one of my favorite teachers at Jackson High. She taught me  keyboarding, a skill I have used throughout my life. She was kind, good, cheerful, and funny. She made a difference in so many lives. What a blessing she was and is to us. I will never forget her.

Never a more caring, loving teacher than Mrs Shelton was to her classes.  She seemed to make all people special as she saw in her students what we didn't see ourselves.  RIP lovely lady, RIP.

Very saddened by the passing of one of our great teachers.  I had Mrs. Shelton for both typing and home room.  She was a wonderful asset to our school and one of the teachers who was loved by all her students.

Won't ever forget Mrs. Shelton. Loved having her at JCM in mid-late 70s. Always so sweet and thoughtful of the students.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Shelton Family.  Mrs. Shelton was a wonderful teacher who truly cared for her students.

There are some teachers that you remember fondly and Mrs. Shelton was certainly one! I LOVED seeing Mrs. Shelton and Mrs. Worthy around town and often thought how blessed they were to have each other!

A wonderful, caring person and an excellent teacher.

Mrs. Shelton was such an outstanding person. Her classroom was a place where students wanted to go. She had great command over students while being gentle and understanding their educational needs. Only fond memories of her after 44years!

Mrs. Shelton was a wonderful person and teacher.  I think of her often as she helped me love to type!  The typing skills I learned from her have been an asset in my various jobs.

Margaret Shelton was a warm, compassionate lady. I never saw her without a smile on her face.

Mrs.Shelton taught me the skill of typing, which I have used over 50 years, on a daily basis, earning a living and many other activities.  She never forgot you, if you were her student, and I will never forget her.

Mrs. Shelton was a wonderful teacher. I use her gift of typing every day including right now. I am very grateful.

Mrs. Shelton was my teacher as well as a close family friend.  She was a special friend  to my family and a beloved, dedicateed teacher who touched many lives.

Mrs. Shelton taught me typing and shorthand which enabled me to get  a very good job and that led to a great career in computer sciences. Fortunately,  I had the opportunity to tell her how grateful I was a few years back.

We thank God for the privilege of knowing Margaret as her parsonage family.  Precious memories have been made and we will pray for you and the family that your good memories will bless  you throughout your lives.

Mrs. Shelton was a kind lady and very good neighbor on Bon Air Circle where I grew up.  The neighborhood boys spent many days skating on her concrete driveway while she watched us from her door.  My mother always spoke highly of her.

I am one of the many grateful students who remembers her fondly.  It was a privilege to know her.

Mrs. Shelton was a wonderful teacher as well as a person.  She will be mised by all.

Mrs. Shelton was a special teacher and will never be forgotten. I had her for typing and shorthand in high school and came to see her more at Alexandria Place where I would have the privilege of seeing her many more times and having some great visits with her. My sympathy to her family and may God guide you through these next days as you take her to the final resting place.  Keep those memories alive and to Miss Worthy your friendship to her was so special and never loose those cherished memories. Our thoughts and prayers will be with all of you at this time.

I remember Mrs. Shelton so well.  She was beloved by her students, of which I was one.  She taught me typing, one of the "few" subjects I enjoyed in high school.  May God bless her family.

What a great Lady and Teacher..Frank and Sissy

Mrs. Shelton taught me both typing and shorthand.  These skills enabled me to earn a living and I am forever grateful to her.  Not only was she my favorite teacher but she was my mentor.  I served as her typing assistant for two years and she taught me so much.  She has left a legacy that would be very difficult to duplicate.  I loved her so dearly and my prayers are with her family.
