

Mary Ruth was a devoted Christian that gave her time serving the Lord by visiting and caring for those confined in their homes or in skilled nursing facilities; volunteering for Hospice of West Tennessee; and serving in many ministries at First Baptist Church. She was loved by all that knew her and her kind sweet spirit.
Mary Ruth retired from General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) in 1986, and has spent her retirement years serving others and enjoying her beloved family. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church since 1952.
Mary Ruth was preceded in death by Howard Keas, her husband of 56 years; brother, James Olhausen; and mother, Mary Bolerjack Olhausen.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Keas; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Rhonda Keas; daughter, Tamara Keas; granddaughter, Emily Catron and her husband Forrest Catron; granddaughter, Erin Keas; grandsons, Jonathan Keas, Elliot Keas, and Caleb Keas; and her beloved sisters, Normagene Olhausen Bird, Joy Olhausen Duke, and Darius Olheausen Cain.
Greater joy could not be found in the life of his mother, sister, and grandmother, than to be surrounded by any or all of these family members. She was also richly blessed with many loving friends and extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. at First Baptist Church at 1627 North Highland, Jackson on Sunday June 5, 2016. The service will follow at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Ruth Keas' memory may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research hospital in Memphis, TN (www.stjude.com), First Baptist Church of Jackson, TN (www.fbcjackson.org), or to the IAM Joy Foundation, Inc. (www.iamjoyfoundation.org) animal rescue organization.
