
A Memorial service for Mona Spaulding Hicks of Jackson will take place at 12 Noon on Friday, December 20th in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church in Jackson. Rev. Cecil Kirk and Rev. David Hollis will preside at the service.
Raised in Paris, TN, Mrs. Hicks was the widow of James Edgar Hicks, Jr. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a former member of the church's administrative board, a former member of the Executive Committee of Youth Town of Tennessee and a member of Quid Nunc.
A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Hicks is survived by two sons, James Edgar Hicks III "Jim" of Jackson and John S. Hicks of Nashville, along with his wife, Jacqueline "Jackie". She is also survived by her two grandchildren, John S. Hicks, Jr. "Jack" and Allison W. Hicks "Alli" of Nashville.
The family will receive friends Friday, at Disciple Hall at First United Methodist, from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon, following a private burial presided over by Dr. Paul Clayton at Taylor Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Jackson or the charity of the donor's choice.
