Nelda Francine Malone died Tuesday at home after a long illness. She was born on September 26, 1926, in Corinth, Mississippi to Ben and Hazel ‘Farmer’ Tyson. The family later moved to Jackson, Tennessee. She married Robert Franklin ‘Frank’ Malone on January 1, 1947 and had two children. Mrs. Malone worked for many years as a receptionist at the Jackson Clinic and was a member of Englewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Cris Malone and daughter, Tina Dixon; both of Jackson; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight at George A. Smith & Sons, North – from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the main chapel, George A. Smith ad Sons followed by burial at Highland Memorial Gardens.
