Patsy Ann Russell Sanford

Mrs. Sanford was born on June 28, 1940 in Haywood County, TN, and was the daughter of the late Guy and Annie Mae Russell. She worked many years as a legal secretary and retired from Jackson State Community College as secretary to the Dean of Engineering and Technology. She was a member of the Madison County Church of Christ. She enjoyed attending Tennessee Walking Horse shows where her daughter and son in law participated. She was a loving mother and wife who was adored by all who met her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Morris “Lee” Sanford; her sister Norma L. Russell Volner; and her brother, Joe L. Russell.

She is survived by her daughter Beth Sanford Reed (Ronnie); and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers to serve will be John Johnson, Steve Johnson, Logan Hurt, Adrian Pillow, and Joe Russell, Jr.

Funeral services for Patsy will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Ben Flatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery in Henderson County. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 Noon, one hour prior to the service.
