

Funeral services for Roy Elvis McDonald, age 72, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2010 from the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Br. Mark Cagle officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
Mr. McDonald passed away at his residence on Friday, June 11, 2010 with his family at his side. He was born in Wayne County, TN on December 14, 1937, the son of the late Ed and Rosie Dicus McDonald.
He was a member of Malesus Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday school class. Mr. McDonald, a self employed plumber, was an avid fisherman, race fan and enjoyed his garden.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Fortune McDonald; one daughter, Susan McDonald Kitchen; one son, Roy Brandon McDonald all of Jackson, TN; sister, Patsy Ruth Hobbs of Savannah, TN; brother, Jerry Dan McDonald of Clifton, TN; five grandchildren.
Other than his parents, Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Williams, Margie Walker and Robbie Brock; one brother, Norman McDonald.
Pallbearers to serve are Billy Reeves, Jessie Collins, David Overton, Jim Costello, Jim Kitchen and Danny Thomas.
Memorials may be directed to the Malesus Baptist Church Building Fund.
Visitation with the family will be held today, June 13th from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
