Rachel Juanita Jackson

Juanita Jackson was called home to God on Tuesday, December 25,2012 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December, 29, 2012 at 11:00 am in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial to follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

She was born on February 28, 1935 to the late Jessie and Beatrice Edwards Diggs.

Juanita is survived by her husband Franklin Jackson; Daughters, Vickie Sewell, and her husband Kerry and Jeannie Tedford and her husband Leon; Sons, Joel Jackson and his wife Tammy, Ross Jackson and girlfriend Ellen Miessner, and Doug Jackson and his wife Sheri; sister, Nancy Daniel and her husband Robert and brother, Darryl Diggs; 4 grandchildren Matt Sewell and his wife Cyndi, Malika Watkins and her husband Jeff, Amanda Chappel and boyfriend Scotty Johnson, and Nikki Sexton and her husband Jamie and 6 great-grandchildren, Will Sewell, Austin Hoffman, Kayla Sewell, Miranda Chappell, Jessie Chappell, and Cooper Sexton.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Legean Buford, her brother Danny Diggs, her sister Peggy Simmons and 3 grandchildren, J.D., Austin, and Tucker Jackson.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.
