Richard Dean Jay

He was the son of Charles Frederick Jay Sr. & Florence Parker Beatt Jay of Mt. Vernon, IL. He was preceded in death by his birth mother Ms. Alliene White, his brothers Fred Jay Jr., Ralph Jay Sr. & George Jay Sr. and his sisters Leona Tullis, Flemma Williams, Isabelle Hamblem & Edna Hall.

He leaves behind his angel on earth of 42 years, Bonita; 2 precious daughters Natalie and Emily; son-in-laws Michael Wruk, Joseph Wylie; 2 grandchildren Dean and Allison Wruk.

Richard was an affectionate husband and father who was always working for his family. Richard distinctly enjoyed gardening, spending time with his friends and family, sharing his wisdom and preserving the integrity of our great country.

The family will receive friends Saturday, 28th of May from 10am-12pm at the George A. Smith & Sons North Chapel, Jackson, TN. A Celebration of Richard's Life will immediately follow the visitation.

Monetary donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Shriners Hospital of St. Louis, MO whom he credits for saving his life during his childhood.
