Sherry Renee Holder Hunt

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, April 12, 2010, at George A. Smith & Sons in South Chapel. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Henderson, TN. The family will receive friends at George A. Smith & Sons beginning at 5 PM Sunday, April 11, 2010.

Sherry was raised in Henderson, the daughter of Joe Edward and Glenda Jean King Holder. She attended school in Chester County graduating in 1979. She attended Jackson State Community College and worked in cosmetics at Goldsmiths (Macys). She later earned her Cosmetology licenses and worked at Headquarters and later Profiles. Sherry married James Steve Hunt in 1993 and they made their home in Jackson. Sherry was the Office Manager for the company they owned, HVAC Design and Build Systems. She also owned Brushstrokes, Prints, and Posters, a website, where she displayed her amazing artistic talents in paintings, photography, and poems. Sherry was an active member of Malesus Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents, Joe Edward and Glenda Jean King Holder of Jackson; her husband, James Steve Hunt; her son, Colton Tyler Hunt; her brother, Tim Alan Holder (Alicia) of Henderson; two step children, Shanda (Steed) Hunt of Alamo and Russell Hunt of Alamo; two step grandchildren, Andy Hunt and Ariana Steed of Alamo, and two nieces, Bayley and Hanna Holder of Henderson, and a grandmother, Mary Opal King, of Henderson.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Clyde Edward King, Cecil Burl and Bertha Odessa Holder, all of Henderson.
