

Stan was born in Oxford, MS on May 28, 1957 to the late Clarence Rayburn Mills and Mary Arlene Anderson.
Stan was a humble man with artistic talents for drawing, painting, and doing woodcraft. He began employment at Martha White in Jackson, Tennessee as a teenager, left to serve in the Army, and upon returning continued on at Martha White for many years. He later learned small engine repair and kitchen countertop resurfacing.
He loved the beauty of nature and fishing in his boat on the lake. He enjoyed his pets and teaching them fun tricks. He was a dreamer, a great story teller, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a loving, easy-going, compassionate man.
Stan was a Bible believer and was active in his Seventh-day Adventist church in Jackson, Tennessee and later in Water Valley, Mississippi. His years in Mississippi were devoted to his mother in her early to more advanced stages of dementia.
His last years were spent with his wife, Mary Ann, and son, Joe, in Medon, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Mills; his son, Joe Tyler Mills; brothers, Steve Mills and John Sullender; sisters, Linda Huang, Mary Sue Frazier, Patti Davis, and Robin Reid; as well as several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A memorial service for Stan will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1902 Campbell Street, Jackson, TN.
