William Marion Moss

Mr. Bill Moss, 81 of Jackson passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 after a long illness. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Bro. Gerald Smith Officiating.

Bill was born in Mill Springs, MO, the son of the late Clarence and Catherine Moss. In 1947 he moved to St Louis, MO, where he met and married the love of his life, Mabel. They were married for 61 years. In 1965 Bill and his family moved to Tennessee to take a sales position, until he opened up the Rainbow Vacuum Center in 1976. He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 53 years.

He is survived by his wife Mabel, 2 Daughters; Gail Lawrence (Roger), and Patty McCallum (Mike); 1 Son; Rick Moss (Rita) 4 Brothers; Ronald (Sherry), Gene (June), Jerry ( Barb), and Bernie (Candy), 2 Sisters, Mary McDonald (Dale) and Shirley Wright (Phil), 1 Sister in Law; Loretta Moss, as well as Many Nieces and Nephews, all of Missouri. 7 Grandchildren; Cory, Casey, and Sean McCallum, Vivian Blackwell, Vince, Joe, and Justin Yodushock, and 9 great Grandchildren.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by 4 brothers Harold, Gerald, Jack, and Wayne Moss, and a Half -Sister Mildred Yount.

The Family would like to express their Gratitude to the Staff of MapleWood Healthcare for their Kindness, and the Care, Mr. Moss received.

Pallbearers to serve will be the Grandsons

A Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11th , 2011 from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm, and Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
