Sandy lived across the street from my family when I was a child, and I was good friends with her younger sister Ginny.  She was always taking us to the drive-in movie theatres, and swimming at the local country club.  I was so sorry to hear of her passing, and my prayers are with all of her family.

I danced with Sandy for many years. She was a beautiful person and I am so sad to hear of her passing. A true Minette. 

Ms. Smith was one of my favorite teachers! I still recall her classes and her passion for teaching. I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Smith's passing. Our prayers are with Ms. Smith's family.

We always enjoyed our conversations with Sandy. When we went too Orange Park we always went by 2 see if she was home. The Tornadoes & Gators have lost a true fan and we have lost a special friend❤ Condolences to her family❤

Mrs. Smith was a great asset,  during the time she was an educator in Bradford County.  During her career, she befriended many people,  and was just am awesome person.  She will be missed.

Ms Smith was a giant in education and a great mentor. She worked us hard and pushed us to greater things. We were blessed to have her. She lives on, leaving a little bit of herself in all of us that were her students.

Mrs. Smith was my High School Biology teacher. She is what sparked my interest in Science. Never gave up on anyone. Always held each student to the highest of standards set forth her own high standard for herself. She was always willing to take the extra time to further the understanding of Science itself. I will always remember her. She was an amazing educator. Rest In Peace. My condolences to her family in the time of loss. 

I will forever have a scientific mind because of this wonderful, intelligent human. My thoughts are with those who were the closest. Rest ever so peacefully.

She was my favorite high school teacher at BHS.  When you think of   the best of the best...She is at the top of the list.  She was challenging but only because she wanted you to do your very best and expected  nothing less than that.  I remember coming home one day and my mama said Ms. Smith called me today....  She thinks you need glasses to see the board. I was at the eye dr that next day I believe and sure enough- I was near sighted and never knew it....but she did.  It was an honor to be her student.  She will be missed greatly by all that knew her.

Thank you, Sandy, for all the children you taught the love of Biology. My family thanks you personally.  I hope you and Wayne are sitting on an orange and blue bench cheering together for your Gators. Wayne thought the world of you and Allison. Your family’s wonderful memories of you will be a comfort for their loss.  

She was one of my science teachers in high school and I loved her! She will be missed! 

I hope Sandy knew how much I admired her.  We worked together almost two decades at Bradford High. I was always amazed at her classroom management... she had that “je ne sais quoi” - that special unknown quality - that commanded respect from students and adults alike, despite her diminutive size. I never heard her yell. I never saw her angry in the classroom. I don’t know that she EVER wrote a kid up for discipline.  But I DO know she inspired several generations of kids with her love of teaching and biology. 
Those fortunate to have had her as a teacher or peer were lucky, indeed. Her legacy is composed of all those many, many people who knew, respected, and loved her.

Ms Smith was my biology teacher at Bradford high school.  She was TOUGH but she was brilliant and would never let us settle when she knew we could do better.  I learned alot from her and am so sorry to hear of her passing.

I was gracefully adopted into this loving family when I married Greg.  Now we have two Angels looking down on us.  Sandy as well as Mom, always treated me as one of the family members, even with the passing of Greg.  Always uplifting, giving advice where needed and most of all lots of Love.  I will forever be grateful to have had the pleasure of Sandy being in my life.  We will go on, however, our hearts will always be missing two pieces of our puzzle.  Hugs and Kisses to You and Greg.  Rest comfortably, for you hurt no more. 

I am very sad about the loss of my sister in law Sandy. She was a dear friend and part of my life for the past 45 years.  She always took an active part in the lives of our children and will always be their beloved Aunt Sandy.  Above all else, she was a dear and close sister to my wife.  She will be sorely missed by us all.   

Buddy and I are so sorry to hear of Sandy's passing.    We will always remember her kind and loving spirit.   She will be missed.  Keeping all the family in our prayers.

Sandy is survived by her dear friend and companion, Allison Aljets; sister, Ginny Schoolfield (Kerry); brother, Percy A. Smith, Jr. (Mira), Traci Tennant, Gayle Aljets, Terri Gooding (Rick); grandsons, Brandon Prevatt (Amber), Jason Prevatt (Kelli), and Cory Tennant; granddaughter, Brittany Howell (Tyler); nephews, Matt Schoolfield (Kristin), Steve Hogue (Tammy); nieces, Alisa Wamble (Danny), Lori Smith (Bill), Sarah Petrino (David),  Linda Selby; six great grandchildren; ten great nieces and nephews; and her beloved Shihpoo, Phoebe.  Sandy is predeceased by her parents and Greg Aljets.
