

BATEH - Adel Bateh, Jr. known to family and friends as Eddie, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, September 26, surrounded by his loving family. Eddie was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, on July 28, 1966. He grew up in South Florida in Lake Worth and moved back to Jacksonville in 1986. Eddie was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Nisreen and father to his son Brandon. He was a loving son to his deceased father, Adel and his mother, Armallina, a devoted brother and brother-in-law to sister Tonia and her husband Ken. Eddie was a successful business owner, and spent most of his free time enjoying being with his family.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Nisreen; his son, Brandon; his mother Armallina; his sister, Tonia Thomas (Ken), as well as his loving aunts, Salima Zarou, Naimeh Butros, Karimeh Bateh; his uncle, Teddy and (Linda) Morakis; many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Adel Bateh, his paternal grandparents, Saleem and Nimeh Bateh, his maternal grandparents, Mike and Julia Morakis, his uncles, Shukry, Fuad, and Said Bateh, as well as two aunts, Nabiha Shalley, and Juliette Butros.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 6:00-7:00 pm, followed by the Trisagion Service at 7:00 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 6300 Bowden Road 32216 with funeral service at St George Antiochian Orthodox Church Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:00 am with the Very Reverend Father Kamal Al-Rahil officiating. Interment will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery.
